Jessica was accepted into the inaugural year of Queensland University of Technologies BFA Fashion Design Degree, studying alongside the likes of George Wu and Gail Reed (Gail Sorronda). By the time Jessica had graduated with Honors in 2004, she had completed a three month internship in Hong Kong, and was the first QUT Fashion Design student to gain full time employment in the fashion industry.

Working for the next 4 years with a large multi-national retailer, Jessica's role in ladies buying was the perfect beginning to learn from the ground up just how a large fashion house operates.

Seeking a new challenge, Jessica then accepted a role as a Product Developer with a niche wholesaler in Brisbane's fashion district, West End. The creative freedom allowed by the role enabled her to hone her skills in women's fashion accessories.

Over the last 15 years, Jessica has travelled extensively in a professional capacity, including quarterly trips to Asia.

In 2011, Jessica combined her wealth of local and national industry experience with her love of fashion, and Jessica T was born.

Jessica's achievements were recognised in September 2013 when she was made a Queensland Finalist for the Telstra Young Business Women's Awards. In November 2014 Jessica was a finalist in the Brisbane Young Entrepreneur Awards for manufacturing and wholesale. 

Jessica continues to be actively engaged in the fashion and business communities and was honoured to be selected as a Judge for the 2019 Telstra Business Awards and 2020 Telstra Business Womens Awards. Jessica also regularly lectures on fashion, design and business at universities across the country.
